Experience the pinnacle of audiovisual performing arts at Rich Mix, in the cultural heart of east-central London, to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of ground-breaking Crux events.
Our diverse programme features an array of audiovisual performances from emerging artists as well as more established names, participatory workshops and opportunities to get involved with our jam session and open-mic electronic-music performance slots.
Two rooms upstairs at Rich Mix will be the main hub of our festival. Each afternoon will be filled with enlightening workshops and talks, paving the way for electrifying live performances in the evening. The Saturday night features a late finish – with a high-energy afterparty in the downstairs gig space.
You can choose from a range of different tickets to suit all budgets. Although the easiest and best value is to buy a full weekend ticket, we wanted to make our event accessible and you can attend just one part of the festival.
Crux is committed to inclusivity, showcasing a spectrum of incredible artists and implementing both an environmental and safer spaces policy. Rich Mix is a fully accessible venue – please reach out to one of our team if you have any concerns.
Rich Mix is an accessible music and arts venue in vibrant east London. It programmes a diverse range of events and serves as a hub for the local community.
The main entrance can be accessed via a ramp on Bethnal Green Road. Once inside, lifts provide access to the main festival spaces. There are four accessible toilets in venue with RADAR locks, including one on the ground floor near reception / The Stage / Streetside and one on the fourth floor near The Studio and The Mix spaces.
The Box Office, The Stage and Studio spaces feature a hearing loop that can be used by switching most hearing aids to the ‘T’ position.
There is plenty of side street-metered parking and disabled parking bays at the back of Rich Mix on Club Row.
Can I buy tickets for just the workshops? Sure you can! Cheaper tickets are available for just the daytime educational stuff.
Can I play or get involved? The lineup is already mostly complete – but we are having a jam session on the Sunday and will be doing an open call for 15 minute ‘open mic’ style slots. Drop us a line if you have other suggestions for taking part.
What is the accessibility of the venue like? Rich Mix is a fully accessible venue – with a ramped entrance, a lift between floors, a low-height bar area (on the ground floor) and accessible toilets.
Do you have a text-based version of the event programme? Yes we do – please click here.
Who or what is Crux anyway? This festival celebrates 10 years of Crux audiovisual performance events! We have been putting on non-profit orientated events that showcase both emerging and more established artists in more than a dozen different venues across London. The festival is being produced in partnership with Rich Mix and is funded by Arts Council England.
